The snacks here are truly authentic and the location is top-notch, at number 100 on Gongyi Road, the most expensive area in Taichung. You can't miss it, the house number is even oversized!

走進好品小吃店,簡樸的裝潢、牆上的白格子方形磁磚,瞬間將人一秒
帶回了80年代。民國80年代是什麼概念?照日本人的感覺就是平成時代吧!
Walking into Hao Pin Xiao Chi, the simple decor and the white-tiled square tiles on the walls instantly transport you back to the 1990s in Taiwan (the 80th decade of the Republic of China). This era corresponds to the Heisei era in Japan.

店裡的招牌火雞肉飯,選用整隻火雞水煮之後再手工拆肉。肉質鮮嫩多
汁,新鮮就是最好的調味料。
The restaurant's signature turkey rice uses a whole turkey that's been boiled and then hand-shredded. The meat is tender and juicy, with freshness as the best seasoning.

不會不小心點太多吃不完。火雞肉飯便當90元,有一主菜跟三樣配菜。
If you're dining alone, I recommend ordering a bento box for dine-in. It's more economical than ordering dishes separately, saves you the hassle of decision-making, and most importantly, prevents you from ordering too much and having leftovers. A turkey rice bento box is NT$90 and includes a main dish and three side dishes.

這個高麗菜是店裡招牌高麗菜飯的同款,有點像是白菜滷的做法,只是
風味比較清爽。大家有興趣也可以到點裡吃一下高麗菜飯,外面比較少見!
This cabbage is the same as the restaurant's signature cabbage rice, a bit like the method for braised bok choy, but with a lighter flavor. If you're interested, you can also try the cabbage rice, which is quite rare to find elsewhere!

滷筍干也是店裡常備的菜色,加上酸菜一起滷也是很傳統的古早味做法。
The braised bamboo shoots are also a staple dish at the restaurant, often braised together with pickled mustard greens in a traditional old-fashioned style.

接著一款是季節時蔬,當天吃到的是肥美的清炒美人腿。
Next up were the seasonal vegetables, which on that day were plump and stir-fried "beauty's legs" (water bamboo).

淡雅的火雞肉片堆疊於晶瑩剔透的白米飯上,肉質紋理清晰,展現了手
撕的傳統工藝,搭配著清爽的配菜,散發出樸實無華的家常風味,每一
口都是台灣道地小吃的溫暖滋味。
Delicate slices of turkey meat layered on top of glistening white rice, the texture of the meat showcasing the traditional hand-shredding technique. Paired with refreshing side dishes, it exudes a simple and homely flavor, each bite a warm taste of authentic Taiwanese snacks.

隔間肉50元,原本是想吃他們家的蒜泥白肉,結果當天已經賣完了,所以
改點這個隔間肉。
Partition meat (NT$50). I originally wanted to try their garlic pork slices, but they were sold out that day, so I ordered this partition meat instead.

旗魚丸湯15元一碗,雖然只有一顆丸子,不過一個人吃配湯其實剛剛好!
A bowl of sailfish ball soup for NT$15. Though there's only one fish ball, it's just the right amount for one person to have with the soup!
