是標配。但這家這種「不辣」的,我還真沒見識過。花椒那獨特的香麻,
融入到鮮美的牛肉湯頭裡,光是聞著就讓人食指大動。雖然沒有辣椒的刺
激,但花椒的香氣和麻勁,足以挑逗你的味蕾,讓你一口接一口停不下來。
這種不辣的川味牛肉麵,說不定更適合不太能吃辣的人。
Sichuan beef noodles, as the name suggests, are all about the numbing and spicy kick! A generous amount of Sichuan peppercorns is a must. But this restaurant's "non-spicy" version is something I've never encountered before. The unique numbing and fragrant Sichuan peppercorns blend into the delicious beef broth, making your mouth water just by smelling it. Although there's no stimulation from chili peppers, the aroma and numbing sensation of the peppercorns are enough to tease your taste buds, making you unable to stop eating one bite after another. This kind of non-spicy Sichuan beef noodle soup might be even more suitable for people who can't handle spicy food.

這家位於東區進德國小旁的味真香牛肉麵,就位於富台社區附近。講到
富台社區這個國宅的由來,前身是富台新村,就是當年從最近旅遊很夯
的越南富國島撤退的國軍部隊眷屬。也因為這個緣故,雖然越來越少,
但是這一代還能找到一些傳統的眷村味。這家店附近也是同一條路上也
有一家牛杯杯牛肉麵比較有名,味真香的名氣比較沒有那麼大,基本上
應該可以納入隱藏版囉~
Located near Futai Community in Taichung's East District, right by Jinde Elementary School, you'll find Wei Zhen Xiang Beef Noodle Soup. The history of Futai Community, a public housing complex, traces back to Futai New Village, where families of military personnel who retreated from Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam (a recent travel hotspot) were settled. Because of this, even though it's becoming less common, you can still find some traditional military dependents' village flavors in this area. There's another more famous beef noodle shop on the same road nearby called Niu Beibei Beef Noodles. Wei Zhen Xiang isn't as well-known, so it can be considered a hidden gem.

因為是家庭自營老店,基本上開業時店裡長怎樣要變化的機率不大。
昏暗的燈光,給人一股一秒鐘回到民國90年代的懷舊感,我小時候的
館子,都是這種不太亮的日光燈照明。
As this is a family-run business, the interior has likely remained largely unchanged since its opening. The dim lighting evokes a sense of nostalgia, transporting you back to the 2000s. The restaurants I frequented in my childhood were all illuminated by these same somewhat dim fluorescent lights.

滷味想吃什麼自己夾到盤子,老闆娘切好上桌會順便跟你報價格。我那天
沒記錯的話一份豬耳朵+一塊大豆乾好像是80元。
If you want some braised snacks, pick what you want and put it on a plate. The owner's wife will slice it up, serve it, and tell you the price. If I remember correctly, a serving of pig's ear plus a large piece of dried tofu was around 80 NTD that day.

豬耳朵的口感不錯,店家切法跟湖南味很像,也不會過爛。
The texture of the pig's ear is good. The way it's sliced is similar to the Hunan style, and it's not overcooked.

大豆乾切薄片,裡面氣孔滷汁都有進去,味道不錯口感也很軟。
Thinly sliced firm tofu with the braising liquid absorbed into its pores, good flavor and soft texture.

牛肉麵120元,其實這碗麵在現場等了有比較久一點,沒辦法家庭店咩,
大家要來吃就帶點耐心來吧!
The beef noodle soup is 120 NTD. I had to wait a bit longer for this bowl, but that's to be expected with a family-run shop. If you plan on eating here, come with a little patience!

這個牛肉麵的肉,不論看起來或吃起來,都有一種似曾相似的感覺。
想了一下發現對啦,這就是國軍牛肉罐頭的肉咩~XD 雖然說風味可能天
差地遠,但是吃起來的口感真的有像。牛肉的部位採用肚腩,不是一般
常見的牛腱。肉質可能因為滷得比較久已經肥瘦分離,瘦肉部分口感偏
柴了一點。
The beef in this noodle soup has a familiar taste, both in appearance and texture. After a moment of thought, it hit me! It's the taste of the beef from the Republic of China (Taiwan) military canned food. Though the flavor might be vastly different, the texture is quite similar. The beef used is the belly part, not the commonly seen beef shank. The meat might have been stewed for a long time, causing the lean and fat parts to separate. The lean meat is a bit dry.

湯頭的部分川味鹹香的要素條件很足,不過這一碗麵湯頭不會辣,取而
代之的是花椒的香跟微微的麻感,其實還挺特別的。我可以吃辣卻不是
無辣不歡的人,這種湯頭我就不會想再加辣椒或辣油下去了。
The soup has all the elements of a savory Sichuan-style broth, but it's not spicy. Instead, it has a fragrant and slightly numbing sensation from Sichuan peppercorns, which is quite unique. I can handle spicy food, but I'm not someone who needs chili in everything. With this kind of broth, I wouldn't want to add any extra chili sauce or chili oil.

麵條採用的是一般的陽春扁麵,沒有細麵可以選對我來說有點可惜。
The noodles are the typical flat, thin noodles. It's a bit of a shame for me that they don't offer thin noodles as an option.
除了牛肉麵跟滷味之外,其實這家店的餐點選擇還有現炒類,感覺好
像也是店裡很熱銷的品項,因為還挺多客人來外帶的,下次有機會試試~
Aside from beef noodles and braised snacks, this shop also offers stir-fries, which seem to be quite popular. I saw many customers ordering them for takeout. I'll have to give them a try next time!
